Torbay & South Devon Manufacturers’ Group

The Manufacturers’ Group is an opportunity for businesses to get together and discuss current and emerging issues, share best practice and foster links. The group represents a collective industry voice to local and central government and encourages a co-operative mindset of support and collaboration.

Why do this?

This collective approach to promoting and developing business opportunities in Torbay really does work. Not only does it benefit the companies involved but it also creates an environment where innovation, co-operation and ‘thinking outside the box’ can lead to new and exciting opportunities.

As a result, this area of the South West is now attracting more manufacturing firms in electronics, photonics, engineering, plastics, coatings, food and drink and beauty products.

Bridging local gaps

The group reaches out to others in the region including Plymouth and North Devon, creating a network of excellence across the county and beyond. The group also aligns with other local business groups such as the Torbay Hi Tech Forum and Torbay Business Forum to share and collaborate.

These groups provide local businesses with a voice and ensure that a solid and sustainable industry base continues to thrive in Torbay.

Who can join?

The Manufacturers’ Group is open to all Torbay and South Devon manufacturers. Meetings are held quarterly and are a great opportunity to network with other manufacturing, engineering and hi tech companies.
