Graphic Controls relocate to Torbay

Graphic Controls Ltd, part of the Japanese Nissha Group of companies, relocates to Torbay into a new £6.5m facility.

Graphic Controls Ltd had been looking for modern, improved production facilities and an investment by Torbay Council into a purpose built facility provided the perfect solution. Graphic Controls investment in Torbay safeguards 48 jobs with a further 50 technical and engineering roles being created by 2020.

The company is increasingly focussed on the casino gaming and slot machine tickets, paper tickets with medium security and medical. The medical segment features ECG’s, syringe filters and other electrodes. Much of the future growth will be driven by a continued increase in export sales.

In 2019, Graphic Controls Ltd is looking to install a new R & D facility.

Tony Slatter, Graphic Controls MD, said:

“The support from Torbay Council and TDA made the decision to relocate to Torbay an easy one. The investment in, and development of, the land at Torbay Business Park means that we are able to move our business to a modern facility that enables us to grow.

“Further support brokered by TDA from the Department of International Trade and Heart of the South West LEP has been pivotal to the successful relocation and ongoing development of Graphics Controls Ltd. ”
